Medical card

Company HR officer finally issued me a replacement for my lost medical card. Without the card, medical bills were quite high. There was once I had to pay $50 for flu consultation :O Since then I better reapply for my medical card. But my health got so much better after my wedding in Jan 05. During that busy season I got sick easily, so unlike me. Remember my csp days, I never took a MC for 3 years but during my wedding preparation I fell ill almost monthly. Guess stress and busy are major triggers to my weak body system.

Our Mothers

Mother's Day was over not long ago, we celebrated with two families on the same day but different timing. In the afternoon, we went to mother-in-law's place for 933 home delivery delicacies and a cake. All siblings came home for lunch and we had a good time gathering. We didn't give mother-in-law any gift, bought her a cake instead.

Around dinner time, we rushed to Chinatown as sister made a reservation at Spring Court. My mother always wanted her celebrated to be held on actual day at a restaurant. So that she could tell her friends about it. The dinner was expensive as usual on such occasion and we also bought mother a handphone. See how smiley she was :P

A long day but most importantly both mothers are happy.

A strange dream

Had a hard time trying to get to sleep last night, most probably because of the afternoon nap I had earlier in the day. After much struggles, I managed to turn in but I had a dream...

I dreamt that I was about to deliver a baby. It was supposed to deliver naturally but due to some reasons, the anesthetic given knocked me out completely. And when I woke up after the anesthetic effect was gone, my hubby handed me a baby. I looked at the baby with no feeling. I was thinking "Is this mine?", "I didn't get to see myself delivered this baby, maybe is not mine". I asked hubby "Did he video-shoot the whole process so to prove that the baby is mine?"... Think there's also a part that I breast-fed the baby...hahaha...

Guess it must be very shocking for me as the dream woke me up around 5am wondering what's going on? Went to loo to release some stress and went back to sleep again...hahaha...What a strange and funny dream?!

The Maid?

Isn't it great to have honest and sincere friends around us? My girlfriend was commented that my bedroom's ceiling lamp has two sharp edges that resembles two knives in fengshui study. I went home and had and careful look and indeed she was right. Next moment we were at Balestier checking out new lamps for the room. We passed by a shop display and saw these lamps, eeeee.....don't they just look like the local movie "The Maid"? Especially the red one at the extreme right bottom.... Maybe the shop owner also have same thought that's why they purposely didn't want to lit up the red one :P

Everytime we see this range of lamps, we will go "Eeeeee...who wants to buy? So scary!"

The Little Girl

Me:"Hello baby"

Dana:"I am not a baby, I am a little girl"

Me:"Are you sure? I thought you are a pony?" As she was born in the year of horse, we always like to call her a pony.

Dana:"Yes, yes I am a pony and daddy is a pig" Everyone laughed by the way she answered and she is not trying to insult her dad because is a fact that her dad was born in year of pig.

My niece has grown up and no longer like us to labelled her as baby ;) She came to our house few weeks ago and we got her an origami set featuring pet house. Below is my favourite shot of her hiding and peeping through the door of pet house. Lovely!

She is very fun to play with but at times will throw tantrums, I guess that is pretty usual for kids of her age. She would cry and screams at high pitch if she doesn't get her way. We are at lost when she does that and everyone will move 3 steps further from her and let her mummy to deal with her :P I believe that by not interfering is the best we could help. My mother-in-law will always give in to grandchildren and buy them the toys that they want. Although is a form of love but on the other hand, it does contribute to some difficulties in discipline the youngs.

A Gift from Far Away Land

My girlfriend went Vietnam for holiday and so nice of her to ask me whether I would like to get anything from there. During that season I was in the midst of changing home decorations and saw I asked her to get me some cushion covers if she happened to spot any nice and cheap ones there.

She returned from Vietnam. But no cushion covers for me, instead she got me something very nice and I was very touched. Not really touched by how beautiful the ornaments are but rather her effort to bring in such fragile and heavy stuffs. She got us a pair of dining sets, porcelain made! Thank you Evelyn, you are so thoughtful and sweet. For sure your new luber will lub you a lot ;)
